The video sketches demonstrate how the system enhances the user experience within Second Life. The video sketches covers all the features within Resident Recommendations, demonstrating situations in which a user would use these features. We used a persona, Pamela, who is based on our novice user persona Sean from our design stage. She is a new user in Second Life, and her Second Life name is "Punkie Twine". Punkie would like to explore Second Life and find some fun things to do.
Exiting Help Island
Punkie Twine learns of Resident Recommendations when she exits Help Island, and browses through the recommendations to find something she is interested in.
Groups
Punkie finds a group she likes in Resident Recommendations and contributes to the group's Picks list.
Finding Event
Punkie finds an event in Resident Recomendations and enjoys attending the event. She gives the system feedback on her experience
Fine Tuning
Punkie peruses through all the information presented by different features and helps refine the system.
Wander
Punkie feels spontaneous and decides to try out the Wander feature
